Killers in America Work 7 Days a Week

So we move into our new rehearsal space soon, on Queen west. As much fun as we had at Rehearsal Factory...we're fucking sick of spending 30 minutes every practice trying to set up the PA because some stupid HxC or metalcore band (xXxblahBLAHblah) was in the room before us and didn't know how to work the system. Anyway, we're lucky to get the place we're getting.

We also have a (1) show coming up, at the Bolton Music Festival or somethingrather. Anyhow, more details are coming, but it's Saturday August 2, from noon to midnight (we're on at 9pm). So if you live up in that area you really have NO excuse not to make it since there's fuck all to do in Ontario north of Steeles Avenue.

We'll be uploading more "behind the scenes" videos soon; you can see what we do when we're not playing; that is, how we figure out what to play before we play. Hah. But seriously, this little adventure of getting the band together has allowed for many moments of hilarity and inspiration you may enjoy.

As promised...

...downloads are now available, to the left, under "Recordings". Enjoy. Remember, they're demo's.

For YOUR Pleasure

So as you may or may not have noticed, on the far left side and slightly lower than the "fold" of your browser (unless your screen resolution is set so incredibly fucking high you can see, well, everything) there is a list of all the recordings we're producing, in and out of the studio. Most of them will be available for download...SOON. I just have to figure out when the hell I'll have time to actually zip them and put them on the server.

So yeah, we're letting you in on our demo's and our once secret recording process, so you can get a good look at what we're doing and how we're doing it. Of course the downloads will disappear eventually. And of course we'll explain the meaning behind each one.

So allow me to start.

"Rehearsal Demo's A" chronicles some recordings Anil and I made (so, JUST bass and guitar). We rehashed some old Class Riot tunes and added a few more. The point of this was to provide one of our many auditioning drummers with a "launchpad" of material.

"Rehearsal Demo's B" is basically a collection of re-recorded demo's from "A" once we had finalized each new song. They're instrumental, again, just bass and guitar. Justin was to take these demo's and build his lead parts on top and Ian was forced to listen to this 100 times to make sure it got stuck in his head for the series of shows we played in early May.

"Demo Series #1" consists of three brand new songs (by new I am referring to whatever of the 40+ songs I've demo'd in my apartment that have lyrics so far). These were handed to the guys in mid June. The last three tracks are the same songs, however instrumental. Expect to hear these live, soon.

Also, expect more demo's soon.

Maybe some lyrics too? If they're not TOO bad, sure.
